Privacy

What this site knows about you.

This campaign asks the city to be straight with residents about its records. Here is the same standard applied to this website, in plain language.

Visit statistics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits: which pages get read, roughly where visitors are from, and what kind of device they use. That helps the campaign understand what residents care about. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this. We turned off Google’s optional data-sharing settings for this property, we do not use the data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent any information about you to anyone.

Contributions

Online contributions are processed by Anedot on their secure site, under their privacy policy (opens in a new window). This site never sees your card number. The campaign receives your name, contact information, and the employer and occupation details California law requires for contributions of $100 or more. Campaign finance law also makes contributions part of the public record, and this campaign goes further by choice: every contribution is published on the contributions page by name, city, date, and amount, whatever the size. Please know that before you give.

Email

If you email the campaign or ask for updates, your address is used for campaign communication and nothing else. No list sales, no sharing. If you want off the list, reply and say so, and it will be handled by a person.

What this site does not do

No accounts, no tracking pixels from social networks, no ad targeting, no selling data. If the site’s practices ever change, this page changes first.

Questions about any of it? Email the campaign and you will get a straight answer.

Effective August 7, 2026.
